식빵공방 is a bread company in Korea that happens to be one of my friend’s favorite in Uijeongbu. They do small loaves of bread in a variety of flavors and at least the one in Uijeonbu makes their bread often, they even have a board outside with the times they bake, which is nearly every hour.
My friend had two favorite flavors that she suggested. The wine blueberry bread 와인 블루베리 식빵 (2,900 won) and the Chocolate bread 초코 식빵 (2,900 won). All of their bread seems to be 2,900 won. She didn’t see the chocolate bread at first but as soon as she saw it she got very excited. I was really surprised that when I walked off with my loaves that they were still warm.
식빵공방 is a chain in Korea and you can find several around. The one in Uijeongbu is quite small with only a small area selling the bread, meaning that if it’s crowded it’s very difficult to maneuver around others. I’d say maybe two people can comfortably get bread at the same time. I’ve taken the bread home and am slowly working on it. I started by slicing it and the ends of either had pretty much nothing on them but the other slices had a nice swirl of flavor. I toasted them and I liked it. My friend can eat an entire loaf in a sitting without meaning to because she loves them so much.
