Cheonghogag 청호각

To save energy, get enough sleep and due to the heat we all wanted to eat somewhere near the hotel. However we wanted to eat something other than steak and I figured it’d be fun to get some Korean-Chinese food. We ended up at 청호각 which was a short distance from our hotel and we ordered one of the three main Korean-Chinese dishes. I got Jajangmyeon 자장면 which is the black bean noodles, jjamppong 짬뽕 which is a spicy noodle soup, and Tangsuyuk 탕수육 which is a deep fried pork with a sweet and sour sauce.

I greatly enjoyed my jajangmyeon and my aunt and uncle liked it as well. My aunt loved the jjamppong which was super spicy, too spicy even for my uncle who for some reason didn’t hear us and ended up mostly eating the sweet and sour sauce rather than the deep fried pork. He did eat a lot of the deep fried pork but he also claimed the sauce as his own dish. They also were nice and gave us some drinking yogurt which was a delightful end to our meal. It was definitely too much food for the three of us, especially my aunt and uncle who usually only eat about one big meal a day. We were the only ones in the restaurant but they were pretty busy with delivery orders.
