원테이블 One Table -closed

Edit-walked past here recently and it’s under construction and turning into a sushi shop by the looks of it.

While waiting for friends before the Azalea festival I figured it’d be best to have some lunch. I went to a restaurant that looked somewhat busy with a friend who was hungry and up for practically anything. My friend that was with me hadn’t tried curry and was pretty excited to do so, deciding to get it with some seafood. I had spotted an avocado rice bowl (소보루 아보카도장 밥 11,000 won) from quite a distance and had been drawn in by that, so I figured might as well get it. I also ordered a yuzu soda (유자 소다 3,800 won).

The avocado rice dish was quite good. They used the indentation in the avocado to hold the egg that I then mixed into the rice bowl. It also came with a sauce to drizzle over it.  The only downfall was a floral perfumery taste that I could quite place and blamed on the greens which I thought might be a type of lemon grass (which I usually love).

The yuzu soda though was not as good as I hoped. My friend got the rose soda which she seemed to enjoy and which came from tea bags. The yuzu though seemed to come from the yuja-cheong (Korean marmalade) used for tea which is best served hot and so it kept getting stuck in my straw which made it a bit too frustrating to actually enjoy. (I mixed it but it still didn’t work too well and kept settling down to the bottom.)

We did however greatly enjoy our food. One Table is open from 11am until 10pm. It’s very close to Sanbon station.
