Untie cafe 커피 언타이

My old school had hweshik (회식) or work dinners all the time. At one point we were going out so often for Korean bbq that I got sick of it. I didn’t want to eat samgyeopsal again. But then when I moved to my new school we barely had any. So I was surprised when towards the end of the school year we went out. I had thought it was a full hweshik with the principal and vice principal and the entire staff. But it was more like a department hweshik . We met with the vice principal and principal for a meeting and then they stayed at school and the rest of us, (about 8-9 teachers) were dismissed. Those of us who were free headed to Sanbon to sit at a cafe together and chill. One of my coworkers picked Untie, which I had seen but hadn’t been to before. It was really nice.

It has a very modern feel and the drinks are quite pretty.

I ordered a green tea latte. I had meant to get it iced because I wanted to be able to drink it quickly since I didn’t know how long we were going to be at the cafe before heading to dinner and because I wanted one of their interestingly shaped glasses. The other drinks my coworkers ordered were a mango smoothie, a grapefruit smoothie, and a grapefruit ade. They all really enjoyed their drinks and I thought they were quite pretty.

Cafe Untie is open Monday through Friday from 11am until 10:30pm. On Saturday and Sunday they are open from 12pm until 10:30pm.
