Quimby’s is an independent bookstore for zines. The store is rather quiet and one of a couple stores in the area that doesn’t allow phone calls. It has a strange air, the workers don’t talk much, but the store has a nice collection of zines and independent comic books. They do have other things like normal books and comics. There is a black and white photo booth towards the back. However I would not consider the store family friendly, towards the middle of the store is where they keep a lot of their more mature content. But if you’re interested in learning and looking for zines this is a great place to start. The shop is home to many events and is part of Chicago Zine Fest.
