Kavárna Pod Lipami was one of those cute coffee shops like the Alchemy cafe that I found rather late and sadly hadn’t noticed it was right under my nose until rather late. I found it because one of my teachers had picked it for our one on one meetings. It is a very short walk from the hostel I was staying at. It’s part of a chain called mama coffee which is the first Fairtrade coffee roaster in the Czech Republic. There is a small courtyard or beer garden as they call it. They have free wifi and newspapers. They serve pastries, hummus, quiche and during the weekdays soup and homemade bread. The walls are covered in paintings. I loved the atmosphere and it was quiet peaceful place where I could have gotten a lot of work done. Kavárna Pod Lipami is located at Čechova 1, 170 00 Prague 7.
