Threadless is an online t-shirt company whose headquarters are located in Chicago. The headquarters are at 1260 West Michigan Street which can be reached easily via bus and within a semi short walk from the blue line. They’ve been open since 2000. Artists can submit their work and people vote whether or not they want to wear it. Occasionally there are contests as well, and winners and artists win cash prizes and get a healthy amount of royalties. They have one more location at the moment, located at 4043 North Ravenswood Avenue #106. At both locations you can buy shirts. I like to go around winter to pick out shirts for friends and family, because there is always something that I think they’d like, or love to wear. It’s easy to buy from them online, and they tend to have a good amount of sales. They occasionally sell other things like phone cases, bags, hoodies, prints, socks, beach towels, mugs, cases, pet beds, aprons, shower curtains, pretty much anything they can print on. A while back when I needed a lunch box I found one with their designs on them at Target in the back to school section and it’s my favorite lunch box. Their designs on these extra items tend to be a lot more limited unlike their t-shirt options which can be a disappointing. It’s my favorite t-shirt shop and I love that they have shops in Chicago. Especially since a lot of the online t-shirt companies I like tend to have limited shirts that go on rotation, Threadless t-shirts are up constantly, unless discontinued, but it’s not a 24 hour sale of a design like other shirt companies.
