On our last full day in London we only had one tour on our list and ended up with too much time to spend standing around outside waiting for it to start but too little time to go do something else. Since it was cold and we were tired we decided to kill time in the cafe Pompidou for some tea.
I ordered a pot of Earl Grey and it gave us each a cup worth of tea, that warmed us up while we waited. The cafe had beautiful sweets in their display case and good looking food, but since we’d already eaten all we had was tea. It was peaceful and quiet, with a lower level and stained glass on the ceilings. It was a welcomed break, especially since at this point my cousin had gotten sick and so standing for long periods of time out in the cold wasn’t the smartest idea.
