These towers were our failed goal the first night we arrived in KL at the beginning of our trip, so before we left we were determined to see them. After dinner we took an uber, in the hopes that it would be faster. What we learned though was, as it had been the entire trip, that if we tried to get somewhere quickly it usually failed. We were still able to enjoy taking pictures outside and to walk around the Suria KLCC mall inside but we didn’t go up in the towers. The last admission for the observation deck is at 8:30pm and we’d missed that.
We took some pictures then walked through the mall for a bit before heading out to the park that has a nightly musical water show that was a lot of fun to watch. It’s located right outside the mall, where the mall meets the park. The name of the fountain is called Esplanade or Lake Symphony. There are shows nightly at 8, 9, and 9:45pm. Talk to any information desk and they can point you in the direction of the correct exit.
If you want to go up in the towers it will be 85 RM. Tickets can be purchased on site but keep in mind that the observation deck is closed on Mondays, certain holidays, and between 1.00 pm – 2.30 pm on Fridays. They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 9-9pm with last admission being at 8:30pm. The mall however is open from 10am until 10pm with changes depending on holidays. The mall also includes an aquarium, filharmonik, art gallery and more.
It was a nice relaxing way to end the evening and to our trip, to just wander around the man-made lake and enjoy the music and the fountain. We also had a nice view of the city.
